Learning In Playgrounds

In their essay titled ‘Play and Playgrounds: Learning that Precedes the Classroom,’ Akansha Yadav and Sharon Thomas share the importance of sports as an arena of education and show how playing fields can become spaces where democracy can be learnt, gender stereotypes challenged, and relationships with one’s own self and with others can be reforged on the anvil of care and discipline.
