P. S. Narayan

P. S. Narayan is the Global Head of Sustainability & Societal Initiatives at Wipro Ltd and the Managing Trustee of Wipro Foundation, the ‘societal-initiatives’ entity of Wipro Ltd. He has been instrumental in the creation of Wipro’s sustainability charter and has stewarded it since its inception in early 2008. Wipro’s sustainability vision is built on the core principle that business and social purpose must reinforce each other in addressing several key challenges the world faces.

Narayan is also actively involved in sustainability advocacy. He is currently the Chairman of the Bangalore chapter of CII-Godrej Green Business Center Greenco Forum, Member of the World Economic Forum’s Climate Change Advisory Council and a co-convener of the Bengaluru Sustainability Forum.

Narayan is adjunct faculty at IIM Bangalore where he teaches on the theme of ‘Responsible Business’ as part of the Independent Directors’ Certification Program.

Prior to the current role, Narayan was the Global Head of Information Systems for Wipro’s IT business, when he was chosen as one of CIO’s global 25 Ones to Watch. He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering with a post-graduation in Management
